Martin Para MOHAMMADI EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY was founded about two decades ago with a view to promoting and making available basic educational and educational resources to underprivileged children belonging to the semi-suburban area of Topsia in the city of Kolkata. In the rapidly developing landscape of Topsia, the economic divide between the privileged and the underprivileged became more and more visible. Seven like-minded individuals came together with a vision to assist the poor and needy children of the area to avail basic quality education. Over time, the intention took shape in the form of regular weekly classes, assistance for paying school fees, assistance for conveyance expenses, counselling, distribution of grocery rations, distribution of free books and school items and even assistance in times of medical emergencies. The sincere efforts bore fruit and today the core group of Mohammadi Educational Society (MES), comprising seven members of Mohammadi Educational Trust, are moving forward with the plan of setting up an international school of the highest standards in Kolkata.
